February Birthday's

We all gathered at mom's house to celebrate the February Birthday's. It was a very fun evening. The kids decided to have a impromptu singing and dancing contest. First up were the boys. Carter, Lucas, and Riley they started to hum the Star Wars Theme but got scared and quit after only a couple bars. The girls came next. Megan, Emily, and Katie tryed a knee slapping thing and also only got a few slaps in before they ended. The final act was Jenn and I. We brought the house down with our rendition of Alice the Camel. Complete with behind shaking and hip hop hand ending. Of course Grandma said we were most prepared and anounced us the big winners of the contest.

The kids felt a little cheat and tried to redeem themselves. Carter sang a Valentines song written by himself, Lucas sand Grand Old Flag, Katie sang the cutest Valentine song she learned in school, Emily sang The Briger Elementary Fight Song, and Riley did a hip hop dance and he is self taught. We ended the evening with the spanking machine. Which Nick promptly brought us all down when he tried to crawl under our legs. Sorry all the rest of the family missed this very exciting party. Complete with a broken arm for Hailey. She was very brave.

Happy Birthday to Nick, Diana, Jr, and Katie!!!!!

More Snow!

Well we got more snow. Will it ever end?! Nick and the kids decided to make snowman. Here Nick is making the base. It is obvious we don't know how to do anything on a small scale.

Meg has decided she needs to make hers a little bigger after seeing what dad has done.

Lucas jumped right in and started making his portion of the snowman. He too has a long way to go.

Here is the finished product. Our neighbor said nice gynormous snowman. It truly was.

nice treasure of my sister when I visited last

summer before she took her hip hop class.

Lucas got to be student of the month. This months theme was Self Discipline. He was so excited. The day he came home to tell us he said "Today was a good day at school"
Nick and I got to go over and have lunch with our wonderful student and see him get a notebook and color changing pencil for being so awesome. Way to go Lucas. We love you!

Day in the Sun.

Here we are at Laguna Beach. We decided to take a
break for the day from the snow and cold and
head to the sun and sand. It took Lucas all of
5 minutes to get wet in the water. Which had
to be freezing. He of course said it was perfect.
His hands and feet were so red I had to disagree.
Meg spent most of her time playing in the sand.
She made a sand castle and sand turle. Both
of which were works of art.

We saw three dolphins swim near the shore. You can
barely see them in the background. This picture is
so deceiving because they were so much closer then
they look. They were amazing.

Here is a self taken picture of me and Nick. We
couldn't think of a better way to spend Martin
Luther King day then at the beach in 80 Degree weather.

Christmas!

Wow was Christmas crazy. I had to work that morning so the kids waited until I got home to open their presents. It was not easy. I woke up to a White Christmas which was nice to look at but not drive in. I did get off work a little early but Nick and the neighbor had to dig me out of the snow because the car got stuck just driving down the road. The kids were screaming when the saw me finally drive up. Meg asked for a Crystal Making Kit and was so excited to open it.

Lucas's is all about the Lego's. He couldn't wait to build the Indiana Jones set he got. He want all of them. The kids get new clothes each year and Meg loved hers. She wanted the boots so bad! Where has the time gone. She is growing up to be such a beautiful girl.

Max 16Aug2008 - 21Dec2008

My cute little nephew Max. Returned home
to his Heavenly Father. We will miss him.
