Halloween

The kids has so much fun carving pumkins.
Besides all the candy this is their favorite part.
Meg carved a bat flying by the moon and Lucas
did Madusa. Nick carved the tiny one in the
middle. We didn't want it to be too hard for him.
Lucas wanted to be a Ghostbuster at the last minute
he decided not to wear his proton pack. Luckily all
the ghost were friendly. Meg was Pippy Longstocking.
She thought it was so funny to have her hair sticking out.
I am pretty sure that is why she picked that costume.

Luke's Birthday

Luke turned 9 and he was so excited he got up early
to open his presents before Nick left for work. Only
to find out Nick had the day off. He has been
asking for Animal Crossing forever. All his cousins have
it and he couldn't wait to play with them. He also
got a basketball hoop. Sadly then it snowed the next week.

I Always Seem to Play Catch Up.

We went to Cedar City for the weekend to see
Adam and Jenny. We had such a good time. We
got to see SUU's football team barely lose their game,
and their volleyball team kick butt.
We also got to do a nice hike at Cedar Breaks.
It was very nice even though a little cold. We did
get to see the fall colors starting to show which was
a nice treat. Luckily we made our flight so Adam
didn't have to entertain us another night. Since it has
been nonstop visitor for them for the last month.

Megan get to do safety patrol at school. She
loves it and looks forward to her classes turn.
Which doesn't come up soon enough.

Nick and I did a early anniversary trip. We went
to Indianapolis and watched the Manning brothers
battle it out on the field. Too bad the Giants decided
to take this night off.

Megan turned 12. She was very excited to join
Young Womens. She couldn't wait to start going
to their weekly activities. She is loving every minute
of it. I must say she is doing great a volleyball and
her team has won 2 out of 3 games. Yeah!!!

First day of School

Today was the first day of school. I walked the kids to their
class. As I am standing there watching my six grader and
third grader walk in, I can't help but wonder how they
got so big and why do I still cry when I watch them leave.

Scout Camp

Luke and I had so much fun at scout camp.
This was his first year and I was lucky enough
to get to go. He shot BB Guns, Bow and Arrows,
played games, learned about the United States Flag,
tied knots and the best part the trading post.

Twin Lakes

We did a nice hike to Twin Lakes. We somehow got started
in the wrong spot took about 1 hour to get back on a trail.
After stepping in a lot of mud and trampling thru lots of field
we finally found the lake. Just to have it start to rain and need
hurry down the mountain.

The School Year

The school year was a huge success. Both the kids loved their teachers and had a great year. We had so much going on with the history fair, great brain project, state report, many book reports. The kids ended the year with them both getting the Brilliant Bobcat Award and citizenship award. Meg also got the National Fitness award and the mentor award. We are so proud of the two of them they worked very hard this year.
